Aggies roll Spartans 79-63

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP)-Wendell McKines scored 24 points and Hamidu Rahman added a season-high 20 to lift New Mexico State past San Jose State 79-63 on Thursday night.
McKines and Rahman had eight rebounds apiece for the Aggies (14-5, 4-0), who won their sixth straight game and are tied for the Western Athletic Conference lead with Nevada.

Rahman was 7 for 7 from the field and NMSU shot 52 percent from outside. The Aggies, who never trailed, built a 65-41 lead midway through the second half.
Keith Shamburger scored 19 points for San Jose State (6-12, 0-4). Wil Carter had 13 points and nine rebounds for the Spartans.
NM State continues its road trip at Hawai'i, Saturday, Jan. 21 in Honolulu at 10 p.m. The game will be televised on Comcast in Las Cruces.
